I just wanted to say thank you for what you did for Jonathon. On November 13th, 2010, Jonathon shot his first buck with a bow. It scored just over 160 inches. This was his fourth archery season and although he has been successful each season harvesting a doe, this was the first season he had a buck walk near his stand. He was extremely excited as you can imagine and could not wait to have this incredible trophy on his wall. We called several taxidermists before we found you. You were incredibly helpful picking up the deer from the processor and producing an extremely lifelike mount. We enjoy looking at it each day. What made this most special to us is that you promised that it would be finished extremely fast. What we didn’t expect was that it would be finished nearly two months later. What a wonderful surprise for a young man.
The mount is extremely lifelike and the quality surpasses all expectations. You told us that next year when we get another buck to bring it in, and that you would show us how to cape it our ourselves. Not expecting to have this great fate again, I was surprised this season when we took what we believe was the brother of, or at least a descendent, of the buck from the previous season. The beams have the same structure and are just a bit wider. You kept your word, took the time to cape our deer on a Sunday, and exceeded all our expectations. My son and I will never need another taxidermist. Thank you so much for not only providing a great trophy, but for exceeding our expectations repeatedly. Being my first deer, I was extremely fortunate to have been referred to Creative Whitetails. The customer service I received was above and beyond excellent. Not only was every step of the process explained so that novices like me could understand, Kurt even picked up my trophy from the processor saving me a lot of travel and time.

In 2008 I traveled by truck from New Jersey to hunt in Illinois and scored on the first day of my hunt with a great 140" 8-pointer. The buck was loaded up for the 900 mile drive home, but when it was delivered to a local taxidermist, the cape was spoiled. I spent weeks and $170 extra to locate another cape large enough to match my Illinois buck's size. In 2009, not only did I connect again, but 3 of the other 4 guys in my group also took great bucks. We did not want to make the same mistake as before, so our local guide referred Kurt at Creative Whitetails Taxidermy. Kurt spent time with each of us individually, and after looking over his work, we all felt very comfortable and selected several different mounting styles. We received our deer shipped in sturdy wood-framed boxes, and Kurt's work was excellent! With Kurt's quality and attention to detail we have no reason to ever truck our Illinois deer home again.

The past two years I have hunted out in Illinois. Both times I got a buck on the first morning. One scored 125 and the other 145. Kurt did both of the mounts on the deer, and they came out phenomenal. The time he put into his work is well worth it. I received my bucks back in a little over 2 months. After taking the biggest buck of my life, I brought my deer into Creative Whitetails. Right away, I knew I was dealing with a true professional and that this was indeed Kurt's passion. Judging by the work he's done in the past in his studio gallery, I knew I made the right decision in bringing my deer to Kurt. He even went out of his way to meet with us at odd hours (11:00 at night!) and shared lots of great ideas when trying to visualize the final mount. Being out of state and having to catch a plane the next day, and being out of time it was easier leaving him with you than bringing him back with me. Its tough enough to find a good outfitter you trust but then to have to leave your buck with a taxidermist you don't know, God I was worried.
